Gosling Sports Park was established in 1959 and is a registered Charity and a Company Limited by Guarantee.

This ground-breaking 50-acre sports and leisure complex is situated in picturesque Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire. Gosling hosts a diverse range of sports and leisure facilities and is one of the most comprehensive and prestigious developments of its kind in the UK.

As a registered charity Gosling reinvests any trading surplus into improving its services and facilities for the local community. The Park employs approximately 200 staff offering a variety of services from sports coaching and tuition to relaxing beauty therapies. A variety of well-being services are also available on site to compliment the superb health and fitness provision.

The charity is led by a non-executive board of trustees. The twelve trustees work on a voluntary basis and provide strategic support to the management team to help direct the Sports Park into the future.

Company Members

Company membership of Gosling Sports Park Ltd is available to all Gosling Sports Park Members aged 16 and above. This exciting development means that anyone wanting a real say in Gosling's future now has a genuine opportunity to do just that!

What does being a company member involve?

Being a Company Member is very similar to being a shareholder. As a Charitable Trust we are not able to have shareholders but can offer Company Membership as an alternative. By becoming a Company Member you have the opportunity to become more involved in the governance of the Sports Park.

  • You can help steer the running of the Park and shape its future
  • You will qualify to attend and vote at AGMs and EGMs
  • You will have the opportunity to elect the Board of Directors
  • You will have a personal liability which is limited to £1
  • Company Membership is optional. You are able to apply & resign at any time.

Stephanie Dunn

I have been a member of Gosling Sports Park since relocating to Welwyn Garden City approximately eight years and I have been a co opted Trustee for the last eleven months.
I am very impressed with the many facilities it offers and the great community feel it has. I am enthusiastic to help maintain the high standards of offering to children and adults of all ages and abilities
Before retiring last year I worked in education as a Health and Welfare officer and Special Needs Assistant and I have also been a member of other Governing bodies. I have experience of fundraising and have assisted other local organisations raise money and obtain grants. I know what this position entails and what is expected from me and I am keen to continue to support the Sports Park in whatever way I can.

Trevor Elliott

I have been an active member of Gosling Sports Park for 20 years, an active member of the Board of Trustees for the last 4 years and Chair of the Finance Committee for the past year.
I consider it an honour to serve on the Board and I will relish the opportunity to continue and to help support and shape the future of the park. I sincerely believe the range of facilities and activities are totally unique and a highly valued asset for the local community.
I have over 25 years of providing IT services within the Hospitality and Leisure sector and some of my clients are established health clubs. I have considerable experience of managing major IT programmes and services and a passion for excellent customer service.
Relevant skills: Company Director for 15 years; worked in a senior IT capacity; over 25 years’ experience in IT; Sector contacts/affiliations – worked in and familiar with the operations and people of the David Lloyd Group; Business owner - IT Services and Consultancy business.


Dave Kenyon

I have been involved at Gosling Sports Park as a user of the facilities, service provider and for the last four years as a Board Member. I therefore have a good understanding of the Sports Park, the continuing challenges it faces and the many changes taking place and planned for the future.
I have 25 years of service at the BBC as a Senior Electrical Manager and more recently have set up and managed my own electrical and maintenance business.
I would like to continue to offer my support to the Board and the senior management team for the next four years

Tina Morgan

Having lived in WGC for 53 years, I feel it is time to put something back into the community. I truly believe that sports and fitness should be for all members of society. I started my relationship with Gosling in the athletics club as a teenager and I still regularly use the gym.

I believe I have much to offer. I am a barrister and have experience as an executive board member of Autoglass Ltd, business development and marketing manager and I currently run my own business offering legal services. I am also chairman of the Welwyn Hatfield Netball League.

Gosling savers pass

To replace the previous General Memberships, the all new Gosling Savers Pass will save you up to 30% on activities at Gosling Sports Park.

There are new and improved tiers of the Gosling Savers Pass, so make sure you have the correct pass!


Junior gym membership

A new membership that is for the 11yr-16yr age group with an emphasis on classes that are a fun way to get fit! At the weekend you can access the gym between the hours of 4pm and 6pm.
