Our Dance classes are led by professional dancer and instructor, Amy Jayne Goodman.
Amy's journey in dance started at a very young age with training in classicial styles such as Ballet, Modern and tap. As she got into her teenage years she discovered a love for street dance styles. Realising her passion for the art form, she decided to study Dance: Urban Practice, at the University of East London. Her time here was spent learning many different street styles as Popping, House, Locking and also styles from around the world including African, Capoeira and Kathak. After graduating, Amy was lucky enough to be a part of the 2014 Olympic Games Closing Ceremony, which was directed by Kim Gavin. She later travelled to the US to study as an international student at The Broadway Dance Center in New York City. The months she spent here consisted of intensive training in a wide variety of styles with world renowned chereographers and teachers. Now that Amy is back in the UK, she feels that it is her role to share her passion and knowledge for dance with her students, not only teaching them a wide variety of dance techniques, but also the background of where each style originated from.
These Parent & Child classes introduce young children to movement and music, and will include movement games, character role play, learning rythyms and the very basics of dance.
